Lead glass has high leadoxid content and is very heavy. The thickness of the glass can be produced to fulfil demanded lead equvivalence. The most common lead glass content is 2 mm Pb for hospital usage and less for dentists, but there are also glass with more lead content to shield from x-ray or gammaray.
